Internet Income Experts is a Shopify dropshipping mastery course from Cameron Conrad, aka DotCamCam who claims to show you how to become an internet income expert with his very own course priced at $997 or 3 x payments of $332.
It’s another course from a young entrepreneur, but what can you expect to get out of the course?
Who is Cameron Conrad?
Cameron, aka Cam or DotComCam is an 19 year old Shopify dropshipper from Orange County, California. In his relatively short business career he claims to have launched, scaled, automated and sold multiple online businesses online.
One of his selling points is that he managed to generate $77,000 in a single week selling online. At a 10% profit margin (I’d assume), that’s nothing to rave about but for an 19 year old it’s pretty impressive.
Cameron claims to have been featured by Inc Magazine and has trained almost 3,000 students around the world on how to start their very own dropshipping stores. I couldn’t actually find any article with his name on Inc, nor on BuzzFeed which is another site he claims to have been featured on.
I couldn’t actually find any recent content from him either, his Youtube channel hasn’t been updated in over 2 years and the last video was a two part series where one part is missing where he was making $13k per month revenue.
The one store he used to own is no longer online and he also owns dropship.co which is a questionable $1 trial to an unknown monthly fee subscription service for learning to drop ship.
Internet Income Experts Review
The course is hosted on Teachable platform which ensures the videos load and look great whatever device you’re using, whether that’s mobile, desktop or tablet.
The course currently costs $997 one time or $332 x 3 monthly payments.
There is a full 30 day money back guarantee with no caveats should you decide to request a refund.
The course is broken down into six weekly modules which include:
- Introduction, Fundamentals & Foundations
- Week 1: 6 Figure Product Hunting
- Week 2: eCommerce Website Creation
- Week 3: Online Advertising Domination
- Week 4: Alternative Marketing Methods
- Week 5: Putting The Cherry On Top
- Week 6: Selling Anything Online w/ Clickfunnels
- Bonus: Weekly Live Sessions.
The first module looks at setting up your Shopify account and Clickfunnels which of course use his affiliate link for both. There is also a link to the Internet Income Experts Group private Facebook group which at the time of publish had 364 members, of which there were only 22 posts in the last 30 days, fairly inactive group.
Next was the fundamentals and foundations section which included a mindset video, past results, how to use the Facebook group, online arbitrage and a master plan for internet income experts.
Week 1: Product Research
This first week included seven videos on product research. I was pretty surprised by the lack of premium tools that are available out there such as Sell The Trend which offers a huge database for finding winning products.
The recommendation is to use Alibaba and Aliexpress. There’s also a video on spying on the competition and how to find hot products.
There’s videos on the winning product criteria and some Aliexpress assistance.
A fairly basic insight into product research.
Week 2: Shopify Store Setup
You get 13 over the shoulder videos on how to create a Shopify store for drop shipping. These videos include basic ones such as connecting a domain, importing products, connecting your Stripe account, installing the best custom apps, removing the Shopify logo and footer.
They also go into more detail such as adding high quality content, adding a logo and creating high converting pages.
Lastly there are videos on how to stand out from the crowd and how to avoid the ‘deadly payments hold’ which could bury your business.
Pleased to see someone actually mention the payments issue as most courses skip over this.
Week 3: Traffic Generation
Internet Income Experts looks at Facebook Ads in quite possibly one of the shortest overviews of the year. Videos are very basic and only look at things such as setting up your Ad account, installing your pixel, perfecting your ad copy.
There is also short videos on testing setup, narrowing winning ads, scaling and the Facebook FastPass.
I’ve watched some courses which offer 50 videos and 4 hours+ on Facebook Ads, this course has 10 and less than 1 hour of content.
Week 4: Instagram, Snapchat Advertising
I’m pleased to note this course offers Snapchat Ads training which most courses don’t. There are a couple of videos on how to do this.
There is also some videos on influencer marketing, finding winning influencers, influencer negotiation and split-profit strategies.
There’s one video on free advertising methods too, again fairly short and dated.
Week 5: Backend Store Automation
You’ll learn how to automate your store with order fulfilment and offloading tasks to VA’s.
You’ll also get basic training on dealing with refunds and chargebacks which will come at some point! There’s also videos on flipping stores and how to sell your store in the future. Lastly there is a video on US taxes and setting up an LLC.
Week 6: Using Clickfunnels
The last module is on Clickfunnels and looks to be a new addition to the course. This in my opinion is simply so you’re signed up as an affiliate under Cameron’s account. Videos here include, how to use the platform, choosing what to sell, building your first funnel.
Other videos include selling info products, lead generation and drop shipping.
It’s a huge mish mash of videos, with no clear idea of the course. Module 1-5 was about drop shipping, why are we know watching videos on local lead gen and affiliate marketing? #Confused.
It’s another short course by another young entrepreneur who’s clearly cashing on the dropship course trend. If you’re making that much money through drop shipping then you can scale and make millions, why do you need to sell a course to a few people for $997?
Speaking of the price, the content value is worth no where near the price charged. There’s six weekly modules of which most are less than an hour long. The Facebook community looks dead too and I think you’d be the only one posting there if you signed up.
Module six was clearly thrown in at the end with little reference to the rest of the course.
Some good points were the Snapchat and Instagram Influencers section and the Shopify store creation section, however most of these type of videos are available for free on Youtube.
If you’re keen to buy into Cameron Conrad’s brand then Internet Income Experts is a fairly decent course. For others, like me, I think it’s a pretty average course and if you compare this to other courses such as eCom Elites which is $800 cheaper and offers 5X the content across 175+ videos on many more topics it’s simply not worth the price.
Would you rather spend $997 or $197 for the same content plus lots more content? (Read eCom Elites Review)
Remember, you still need to spend money on your business after buying the course.
Would you rather do that with the $800 you just saved?
