Dropship Fortune 2.0 is a new course by Braden Wuerch that claims to help you learn everything you need to know to create, run and grow a profitable dropshipping business online. The sales page hypes you up, selling you dreams such as leaving your 9-to-6 and enjoying financial freedom.
Personally this approach to sell a course is pretty sly, you definitely aren’t guaranteed financial freedom starting a dropshipping business, regardless of what any guru tells you. Like any business, the risk is there, the reward is there, but it’s up to you to get there.
The sales page has many of those revenue figure screenshots that simply forget to show you the cost price and if the business is actually turning a dollar too.
Who is Braden Wuerch?
Braden, a former firefighter and paramedic, is a Youtube entrepreneur who creates videos on Shopify and various drop shipping methods. He also happenend to drive an Audi R8 which regularly made an appearance in his videos.. but now is no longer there. I wonder why? Did his lease run out?
He currently has 24,700 subscribers and most videos seem to have less than two thousand views. Some do go viral but most don’t.
Most include clickbait titles or different approaches to selling such as, ‘Making $28k in 23 days.’
He does seem to know what he’s talking about and it’s clear he does make money through his own stores, unlike some of those fake gurus out there.
Dropship Fortune Review
The course is hosted on Teachable platform which ensures the high quality videos look great on mobile, tablet and desktop. You also get a range of different qualities depending on your internet connection. Most will find the HD videos a pleasure to watch.
Unlike most other courses Dropship Fortune does actually have a good value to content spread with over 80 videos that will take you from A-to-Z on the drop ship lifestyle into starting your first store.
You also get access to a private Facebook mastermind group which at the time of publish had 353 members with an average of 8 posts in the last 30 days. Unfortunately that shows the group is fairly inactive so it’s unclear what sort of response you’d get if you posted.
As mentioned earlier the course has been upgraded to version 2.0 and existing members got access to this content. I imagine when new content is launched you’ll also get upgraded to the new content for free.
As mentioned the course has 80 videos which are split up into various modules including:
- Store Creation
- Brand Direction & Niche Selection
- Product Research
- Product Sales
- Site Optimization
- Social Media Proof
- Facebook Ads
- Sales Techniques
- Brand Building
- Conclusion & Bonuses.
Just from looking at these 12 modules (minus intro and conclusion) it is a fairly robust course that covers a lot of different topics. It’s obvious version 2 was an overhaul on the content to make it more in line with some of the best drop shipping courses out there.
Introduction to Dropship Fortune
The first module goes through the usual goal setting, what is drop shipping, layout of the course and what you can expect given you’ve just bought the course.
Video quality is good and if it’s a sign of things to come, you’d be pleased.
Creating A Successful Store
Like many of the free Youtube videos out there, this module goes over starting your store.
The platform of choice is of course Shopify.
Videos in this section are over the shoulder, short but details and will show you how to choose a name, a domain name, creating a custom logo, designing and developing your store further, creating pages and menus and other important settings.
Winning eCommerce Apps
This module includes lots of videos related to your eCommerce store and many apps are mentioned.
You’ll learn about abandoned carts, upsells and cross-sells, multiple currencies and staying GDPR compliant. There is also videos on mobile optimization, growing an email list, automatically fulfilling orders (You could use Dropified too) and product reviews.
Brand Direction & Niche Selection
This module is super short and only includes thirty minutes of content on deciding on the type of store, niche braindstorming, niche research tools and evergreen vs trends.
It’s a bit confusing, given you already chose a domain name in the second module, this content would be better higher up before you buy the domain.
The course recommends a few ways to do effective product research including a premium spy tool. I personally use Sell The Trend and it’s the best tool out of 17 different tools I’ve used in the past.
You get videos in Aliexpress, Amazon, Facebook and MyIP product research.
There’s also videos on discovering quality suppliers and marketplace product research.
It’s a good lenghty module which will help you learn to pick winning products.
As mentioned earlier about using Dropified, Dropship Fortune actually uses Oberlo which is a free alternative and this module shows you how to use the platform on your store.
You also get videos on adding products, pricing strategies, creating killer copy that sells, AliPay verification and order fulfilment.
This module was the shortest module in the course only offering a video on how to install Google Analytics and finally launching your store.
It would have been nice to see some videos on conversion optimization such as this free tutorial I wrote.
Social Media Proof & Social Media
Another short module with only three videos, one on how to establish social proof, another on how to build your brands Facebook page and lastly everything to do with Instagram. Less than 30 minutes on social media, was a real let down for me.
Core Facebook Ad Strategy
One module done well by Dropship Fortune was their Facebook Ads section which had most of the latest technologies offered by Facebook included.
Videos were follow along and it was easy to see what was happening on the screen.
The first videos were about creating your Ad account, designing a winning Ad and audience insights.
Next was seasoning a fresh pixel, gaining social proof with engagements, making sales with conversion ads and when to keep, kill or raise ads.
Lastly in this module were videos on custom and lookalike audiences, retargeting ads and basic scaling.
Advanced Facebook Ad Techniques
I have to admit I was expecting more in this section but for intermediate dropshippers you’ll find plenty of knowledge in this module.
Videos included product testing schedules, traffic and conversion rules, split testing, duplicating and editing.
There was also videos on unique duplicated LAA’s, cleared out targeting, the wagon wheel approach and a couple other targeting methods.
Unique Sales Techniques
This module included videos on Google Ads, other Ad platforms, blogging for free traffic, email marketing and using the free+shipping models.
It was a bit of weird module with limited information on all the topics above (<5 minutes for each).
Scaling For Success
A short module on scaling with hiring a VA, owning multiple brands, business formation and selling your brand.
Again most videos were short and less than 10 minutes in length.
Business formation should come at the start of the course (only relevant to some people).
Design A Brand
Videos in this module included the power of print on demand, creating a clothing line, designing branded products and print on demand fulfilment apps that you can use within your business for your brand.
Conclusion & Bonuses
Lastly there was a congratulations video as well as a video on common problems and ongoing mentality videos.
Bonus videos currently include a Facebook Growth Hack and a Aliexpress Fulfilment Hack.
It’s a pretty poor refund policy, you have to request within 14 days and can only watch 19% of the course. Once you watch any more of the videos, which include loading them but not actually watching them then you forego your right to a refund.
Ensure you’re definitely keen on buying the course as there are no exceptions to this rule.
Drop ship Fortune is a good course at a very affordable price. Braden has done well with the course and it offers lots of value. If you want to buy into his brand then you’d be pressed into finding a better course at that price.
For me, personally, I found some modules were super short and skimmed over far too quickly. I was expecting to see lots of content on Google Ads, Snapchat, Chatbots, Twitter, Pinterest, Search Engine Optimization and weekly live coaching calls.
These topics are crucial to any beginner starting an eCommerce or drop shipping business these days. The Facebook mastermind group was also dead with limited posts so little to none knowledge sharing going on.
Given the same price, the $297 eCom Elites course trumps Dropship Fortune completely. It offers 100 additional videos (on all the topics I mentioned above) with a strong focus on Google Ads, Google Shopping and using Sales Funnels. There’s also 5000 students in the Facebook group with an average of 300 new posts per month being posted to help each other.
Rather than continue to post the best dropship course, have a read of my review and see for yourself.
Whatever course you buy, both are the same price and both offer lots of value at the $297 price.
