Okay great you’ve spend thousands of dollars buying a drop shipping course to learn the ins and outs of the business and you’ve started your store using a free theme to save $200. Probably not the best move, free themes aren’t optimized for conversions and definitely aren’t designed for drop shipping. Today I’m going to show you 6 of the best Shopify themes for dropshipping.
Now I bet you’re thinking why did all six of these themes get a mention? Well after using both free, premium and a mixture of themes from Shopify and third party vendors, these are definitely the best, most popular themes for drop shippers.
Best Shopify Themes For Dropshipping
[table id=20 /]1. eCom Turbo (Franklin Hatchett)
It’s my go to theme for all my drop ship stores and after creating dozens of stores, the unlimited license by Franklin Hatchett is definitely the theme I recommend to any future drop shippers out there. It not only looks amazing on mobile, it looks sharp on all other devices too.
The main problem I initially faced was my store made quite a few sales but I had a major problem. I needed higher conversions. eCom Turbo that was created from the ground up and seamlessly integrates with the high converting apps and features right through the simple installer. You don’t need 12 different third party apps as they are all included in eCom Turbo.
The biggest benefit to this theme is having the title, photos, price and buy now button above the fold on mobile, so no scrolling is required for your consumers. It really does boost your conversions from day one!
eCom Turbo is currently priced from $97 for a single store through to $147 for unlimited licenses (on your own sites of course, you can’t simply share the key with your friends). If you’re going to be building out quite a few stores over the next year then the unlimited package is definitely the way to go. It’s one time fee so no monthly or yearly renewal fees are payable.

2. Konversion Theme
It looks great and is one of the most popular drop ship themes on the market but comes at a much higher price tag costing $197 for a single site license and $394 for a three site license. Unfortunately there isn’t an unlimited site license, yet anyway.
The main selling point is how awesome it actually looks on mobile and has been specifically optimized for the platform and could rival a professional e-commerce store with a multi million dollar budget. I actually think the theme looks very similar to the Adidas website. It can be customized to your desires.
Some of the best features include the announcement bar with CTA buttons, the shipping rates and the ability to do so much with the checkout such as hiding add to cart buttons, popping the cart and adding trust badges. All fonts, colors and images can easily be added.
Custom features are very similar to eCom Turbo and include a page builder, currency switcher, countdown timer, deal of the day widget, newsletter popup, announcement popup, upsell popups and an integration with Uploadery which allows customers to attach files with their orders.
Konversion Theme also integrates with a ton of plugins they have created themselves including Automatic Discount, Ultimate Upsell, Milestones, Warden, Carter and Motivus applications which you can buy as premium addons through the marketplace.

3. Universe Theme (Outlane)
The Outlane Universe theme for Shopify is one of the most elegant multi-purpose themes on the market right now. Aside from looking awesome on both mobile and desktop devices, it offers everything you need to launch an amazing responsive store within minutes.
Out of the box, it’s ready to go in minutes, offering two styles (Earth or Mars) but also offers unlimited customization tools to turn the standard theme into your own masterpiece. I’ve seen this theme on a wide variety of stores including clothing, footwear, furniture and electronics.
Originally launched last year, the theme is regularly updated and supports multiple languages including English, French, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese.
Some of the features to improve your conversions include the mobile-first design which shows the header, images, title, ratings and gallery scroller all on the same page above the fold. Perfect layout to improve sales.
Other features include the ability to customize the theme using Shopify sections to showcase your products or add product carousels. You can even change the layout on custom pages (such as About Us) as well as the homepage. The editor is powerful, fast and easy to use.
Further elements in this theme, that help to justify the higher price tag is the sticky header, call to action sections, Instagram and Youtube widgets and my favorite feature which is the product reviews section allowing you to include customer comments and quotes.
Similar to other themes I’ve recommended today you won’t need to buy dozens of apps to compliment your theme as they are included. The team over at Outlane also offer ongoing updates, an extensive documentation section and theme support.
The theme can currently be purchased individually or as a bundle which includes all their themes. The bundle works out to be much cheaper if you wanted to buy a few themes to test or use on your future stores.
4. Booster Theme
Version 2 has recently launched (June 2018) and claiming to power over 3,800 Shopify themes, booster theme is a theme that works in a very similar way to eCom Turbo. They offer a highly optimized theme accompanied by 10 different apps that install right out of the installer and you can enable or disable the ones you require. The entire package can be customized and tailored to how you want your store to look.
The theme looks stunning on both mobile and desktop with the title, image, pricing and buy button appearing above the fold on mobile ensuring your visitors don’t have to scroll up or down to find the most important information before adding to the cart.
Booster theme is much more pricey than others but if you’re looking for the dogs bollocks of Shopify conversion themes then the single license of $197 is perfect with additional licenses costing $497 for 3.
5. Shoptimized Theme
Shoptimized is the one of the best custom Shopify themes offering high conversions. It’s built for mobile first because that’s where the majority of your traffic comes from and because it’s based on a mobile-friendly and responsive template, it offers lightning-fast load times to help improve your search engine results and also conversions.
The template was built and developed by Conversion Rate Expert, Bradley Long who architected this premium Shopify theme to include all the elements proven to drive higher conversions, sales and profits. It’s definitely a theme that most people consider when they are looking for the best converting theme for Shopify.
The cost is very similar to eCom Turbo however has recently been increased now costing $127 for the 1 site license and $297 for the 10 store license. All licenses include all features which also include the 10 additional apps that install right out of the box, very similar to the other themes mentioned on this post.
6. Empire Supply Theme (Amazon Style)
If you’re looking for a theme that you can turn your store into an Amazon or Walmart lookalike then you should consider the rather expensive $180 (single site license) Empire Supply Shopify theme. It does look great though doesn’t it. Fortunately it looks great on all devices including desktop, mobile and tablet.
The one downside is the number of images and customization required to get it to look like the demo’s. If you’ve got time to spend on your store setup then it’s definitely possible to get an awesome looking theme that will ensure your customers are convinced to buy your products.
It comes with three styles but word on the street is the supply or industrial style is the most favored. It’s created and supported by Pixel Union which is a company that creates those other premium themes you can buy directly through Shopify. I have to say this is the only theme I’d buy from them.
It doesn’t offer all those addon applications that you’ll receive from eCom Turbo, Booster or Konversion as it’s an official Shopify theme. You do get live search, product filtering, custom promotion titles, home page menu lists, quick buy options and free stock photos provided by burst.
Conclusion
In order to get the best Shopify theme for drop shipping then you’re going to need to invest some money into your business. Remember it’s a tax expense, not coming out of your own pocket. If you’re running FB ads then paying $100-$300 for a good Shopify theme is a crucial part of your business and something you should seriously consider. If you’re happy with low conversions then sticking to one of the free themes is probably your best option.

Thanks for the tips and value you are putting out there.
I was wondering about a few things about dropshipping and the business itself.
I’m not from USA (like you, from NZ if I read correctly)
How do you setup a company for dropshipping?
Do you need to setup a LLC in Delaware to do so?
How do you open a bank account in USA?
Do you have a product liability insurance?
How do you pay yourself (money from the business to your local acount where you live)
How do manage all the tax keeping and booking? Are some accountant specialize in dropshipping?
Thanks, and I won’t forget to go through your link to buy a course 🙂
Hi Lele,
You can setup in your country of residence, no need for USA company.
No need for delaware company unless you intend to sell purely within US from US suppliers
Again no need for this, if a delaware company is needed companies such as myusacorporation can assist
No as we never touch the products
We draw money from the account and it’s taxed in our home country, we also pay corporate tax in USA.
I use Xero and don’t have an accountant, it’s easy if you know what you’re doing but definitely use a tax advisor before setting up a US company as you will get double taxed if you’re not careful.
Hope this helps you? 🙂
Could you help us review the following themes https://themeforest.net/collections/7741988-fastest-shopify-themes? These themes have been optimization well. The Google Pagespeed Insights score is very high, and the same for GTMetrix. And admin can handle the mega menu in Theme Customization, create the banner with texts, customize banner styles even in the Customize page. Especially, these themes also work with multiple currencies, GeoIP currencies, add infinite scrolling on home page or collection page.
Thank you!
If you give me a free download then yes, as they are your own products.
Can you give an explanation as to why Shoptimized has a 2/5 rating?
You mentioned that it’s one of the best Shopify themes offering high conversions, but have said nothing to warrant that rating. A 2/5 means there is something wrong with it.
You should dive into that.
It’s a mistake, I moved the rows around, will fix it up thanks.
Hi. Where will Debutify stand among these themes? Thank you
Done a review on it, will add go the article at some point.
